Landed at 5:30am. Cleared customs and sat in traffic for an hour.
Manila is a huge city. Without the google I’d guesstimate the population at 15mm people. Streets are relatively narrow by New York standards but no less crowded. Since we’ve landed it’s been a constant warm drizzle that reminds us that it’s rainy season. 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the shade. Luckily our entire crew and gear are staying overnight in an icy cold Airbnb with a great view and bunk beds.
Today we will go out in search of supplies and more equipment. Tomorrow we begin the push to Mindoro. Update to follow.
